Dress your potted plants in a picket fence made from clothespins. Measure 2 3/4 inches up the side of the pot. Bend a piece of 12-gauge steel wire into a circle 1 inch larger in diameter. Wrap bias tape around wire twice, securing ends with white glue. Slide clothespins onto wire at 1/2-inch intervals. To join the "heads" of the clothespins with bias tape, measure around the circle they create, and cut a piece of bias tape 2 1/2 times longer. Fold bias tape in half lengthwise and then widthwise, hooking the midpoint around head of one clothespin. Wrap loose ends around head, then cross them; repeat wrapping and crossing at each clothespin. Knot and trim excess tape, turn base over, and place pot inside.
