Food Packaging Ideas

Food makes a really thoughtful gift, whether it's given as a hostess gift, as a favor at a baby shower or wedding, or displayed at a school bake sale. Finding creative ways to package it is as fun as coming up with what goes inside. Here are some food packaging bags and boxes from our Martha Stewart Crafts line:

One Bag Three Different Ways
1. Stamp on the bag.
2. Make a badge embellishment. (For illustrated directions, download this PDF from http://www.marthastewartcrafts.com/index.php?v=msc_proj_packagingfood.) To make a rosette, pleat the entire length of a 1 1/2-inch strip of paper. Open into a circle and glue ends and center. Attach rosette, ribbon, and cutout transfer to package with adhesive foam dots. Hot-glue badge to bag.
3. Attach cutouts of transfer letters with foam adhesives.
Faux Bois Paper Ideas
1. Wrap chocolate bars in faux bois wrapping paper, and tie with bakers' twine.
2. Wrap bottle of maple syrup in faux bois paper, wrap bakers' twine around neck, and adhere cutouts of stamped maple leaves. (Stamp leaf from our leaf stamp set onto colored paper and cut out with craft scissors. Apply with an adhesive foam dot.)
3. Wrap mint tea in mint-colored faux bois.
Adhesive RibbonPeel and stick strips of decorative tape in a criss-cross pattern around box. Rubber stamp recipient's name onto a food label, and attach with an adhesive foam dot.
